Allan Atkins
Allan Atkins was one of Queensland’s finest Tenpin Bowlers. While not pursuing national Tournaments due to family and work commitments Allan was the “King” of Brisbane Tenpin Bowling for many years. Allan won numerous local events including day breakers, Australian Championships, State titles and Open tournaments. An example of Allan’s bowling performance was his almost total domination of the winner’s title in the Monday night Greenslopes Singles League over many seasons. Allan’s most famous record was his five “Koolfoam” titles including 3 in a row, 1982, 1983 and 1984. Allan Atkins was a champion in bowling ability and in his faultless conduct on the lanes. Allan had all the qualities of a true champion including excellent concentration and sportsmanship to all players. Allan was a Queensland State Team member 3 times .
